Najib attends closed-door retreat

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak attended a closed-door retreat meeting with top Barisan Nasional component leaders to prepare for the 14th General Election.

Najib, who is also Barisan chairman, arrived at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) at about 9am Saturday to launch the meeting before giving a speech to party leaders and machinery.

It is believed that the meeting is the largest retreat held involving all top Barisan leaders.

Also present were Transport Minister and MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, Gerakan president Datuk Seri Mah Siew Keong, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri and SUPP president Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian.

Other leaders present included Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, Umno wanita chief Datuk Seri Shahrizat Jalil and Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid.
